The names of staff or officers who receive negative criticism will be blanked out before the comments are published, because they are not able to defend themselves on this website.
Vexatious or deliberately misrepresentative correspondence will not be published to the website.
There may be legal reasons why comments that relate to a live investigation may not be published. This will be made clear to the correspondent if it is the case.
This website does not handle official complaints. If you want to make a complaint about a police officer or staff member of West Midlands Police, you must contact West Midlands Police Professional Standards Department. Comments relating to ongoing complaints or misconduct matters will not be published. Complaints about the Chief Constable of West Midlands Police should be made to the Police and Crime Commissioner.
We will not edit comments for meaning or spelling. Therefore comments that are only in part not suitable for publication will not be published.
