You have rescued my Father over 7 times recently as he has dementia and wonders. He hasn't had a photo taken in years, but I have managed to take a photo of him today (with his permission) and I would like to share with you so your officers are better informed if he should go missing again. I'm investigating GPS and if successful I will share these details with you too. I need to know how I can share this digital photo with you. Please can you give me an email address etc. Thanks so much for all your hard work. I'm really proud of our Policing in this country. Well done to you all.

The Police say:

Gary, sorry to hear that you father is unwell. It must be very distressing every time he goes missing. A photo would assist the officers greatly if he does go missing again, thank you for going to the efforts of obtaining one. We would suggest that you contact your neighbourhood team initially who would be able to ensure that the photo is placed within the correct department. Your neighbourhood Sergeant is PS 4563 Dubs Gill from the Olton neighbourhood team. He can be contacted by dialling 101 and inputting the extension number of 891 6085. The email address for the Olton Team is: olton@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk

west Midlands police? Do the springfield team work for the policing department or do they work for the local councillor habib rehman? A sparkhill family in crisis due to the unprofessional behaviour of the councillor and police.

I will take this opportunity to thank Anoop Bhogal for his efforts in the early hours of this morning I was distressed and not at my very very best but the above mentioned gentleman was magnificent as was his colleague. I was not in a good place at that time but they both made me feel valued and as if I mattered. Anoop will have a great future but more importantly he is a gentleman and a wonderful and patient officer. Thank you and well done !

The Police say:

Joe, we hope you are in a better place now following Anoop and his colleague helping you. It's lovely to hear that Anoop and Lee were instrumental in helping you when you needed them and in reassuring you that you do matter and are indeed valued by lots of people. Thank you for taking the time to leave your comments and please be assured that they have been passed on to Anoop, Lee and their supervisors.

Any actions taken by Police officers have to be lawful, necessary and appropriate. We are sorry if you feel that any behaviour by a West Midlands Police officer on the day in question was none of the above. If you are wishing to take this up with our Professional Standards Department we would urge you to contact them via the West Midlands Police website.

Ignore problems reported as they cannot be bothered to do their jobs in a professional manner. Behave like they are above the law and a law unto themselves. Their agenda is more important than that of the public who they are there to serve

I was involved in a car crash on Christmas Eve 2015 early hours in the morning and still to this day we have had no information from West Midlands police it is now the 6th of January 2016. The police have been no help and and damn right out of order and if I had a choice I wouldn't be dealing with West Midlands police service as they are shocking. I don't advise anybody to use them you WILL get nowhere!!

A fantastic response to a burglar alarm in early hours of xmas day. Wonderful attitude to a frightened householder. Exemplary. Thank you all very much.

A member of the public wrote:

After having told the 101 number 3 times that there has been a car alarm going off for what is now 36 hours there has been no action taken. That's right 36 hours with a siren going off. They did and will do nothing. Absolutely nothing. If I was standing shouting my head off in the middle of the street I would be removed by the police. Someone else's property making the noise? Who cares right. What an absolute joke. Please come and remove this vehicle asap.

The Police say:

Good Morning, apologies for the delay in response to your comments. I can see from the incident notes that you made four calls to 101 and was advised that this was not a police matter and provided with the details for Birmingham City Council. West Midlands Police do not have any powers legally to remove a vehicle in this situation. i hope that you were able to access the correct department within Birmingham City Council to resolve the isssue.

I wanted to record my thanks to Sergeant Tracie Wharton from Solihull police who has recently been in contact with us about an incident that occurred at the end of November. Throughout she has been very professional but also very pleasant to deal with, showing compassion, understanding and fairness in all our communication making our experience much less traumatic than it could have been. We are both very grateful to her for the way she has handled things and felt she was a credit to the police force.

I was involved in a traffic collision for which the Birmingham policing unit were promptly in attendance. I was very pleased with their professionalism and understanding, their help was very useful and appreciated.
